VIDEO | Dana White discusses Nate Diaz fighting at UFC 200

By Russell Ess - April 26, 2016

On Monday Nate Diaz hinted that he would not be fighting at UFC 200 with his scheduled opponent Conor McGregor being pulled off the card due to his refusal to take part in media obligations to promote the fight.

Dana White spoke with TMZ on the latest situation with Nate Diaz and how he is feeling with his big money fight being taken away from him.

“Nate stands to make a lot of money at 200,” White said. “I’d like to keep him in 200. It’s up to him.

“He’s not mad, he’s actually pretty cool about it. This is a fight that Conor was really obsessed with and wanted this fight and Nate was like, ‘whatever.’

“The Diaz brothers don’t get excited about too much, they really don’t. Nate always said, ‘I want to be in big money fights, Nick wants to be in big money fights.’ Even though this big money fight did fall apart, he’s not crazy, he’s not upset, he’s whatever.”

Regarding a list of possible opponents for Diaz, White says there are many people that he could be matched with but it will all be up to Nate to decide if he wants to fight at UFC 200.

“I have a long list of people that he could fight. It’s up to him. It’s up to him,” said White. We’ll give him a list of other guys and if he wants it, he can have it.”
