Back in 2013, Anthony Pettis defeated Donald Cerrone via TKO. Fast forward 4 years and the pair are training together at the JacksonWinkeljohn MMA Academy in Albuquerque New Mexico.
Many are wondering how the two top ranked lightweight fighters are able to train together in a friendly environment. Cerrone and Pettis both spoke on Inside MMA to explain how the situation materialized, and how things are going.
Pettis is currently gearing up for his UFC 197 scrap with elite level striker Edson Barboza, whereas Cerrone has quite some time until his UFC FN 89 scrap with Patrick Cote in June.
