At this point, it’s no secret that Francis Ngannou hits hard. The hulking French-Cameroonian heavyweight has proven that by earning six of his 10 wins with thunderous knockouts. Yet Ngannou is more than just powerful. He is a destructive blend of power and speed – the kind of speed you do not usually see in the heavyweight division.
If you had any doubts about Ngannou’s quickness, let the video at the top of this post put them to rest. He is fast.
Francis Ngannou will next step into the Octagon on September 9, on the main card of UFC 215, which goes down in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His opponent will be former champion Junior Dos Santos.
Against Dos Santos, Ngannou will look to build on the momentum of a January thrashing of former champion Andrei Arlovski. He preceded this win with a bone-bending kimura win over Anthony Hamilton. This win, finally, was preceded by stoppage wins over Bojan Mihajlović, Curtis Blaydes and Luis Henrique in his first three UFC bouts. Ngannou, who is currently 10-1, stands out as the finest prospect in the UFC heavyweight division.
Do you expect Francis Ngannou to capture the UFC heavyweight title? Do you think he’ll beat Junior Dos Santos at UFC 215?
