VIDEO | Joe Rogan explains the UFC’s side to Ariel Helwani vs. the UFC

By Russell Ess - June 7, 2016

MMA journalist Ariel Helwani made news himself when he tweeted that he was kicked out of UFC 199 and was slapped with a “lifetime ban” from the UFC for breaking the news of Brock Lesnar’s return to the UFC ahead of the promotion’s announcement.

Helwani did a special edition of the “The MMA Hour” on Monday talking about his job as a journalist and what happened with the UFC at UFC 199.

The UFC released a statement late Monday that Ariel Helwani and his team’s ban from getting any media credentials was lifted. UFC color commentator Joe Rogan learned of the UFC lifting the ban on Helwani and his team while doing his “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast and gives the UFC’s side to the story, from what he was told.
