VIDEO | Travis Browne humorously explains his own pressure moments before asking Ronda Rousey to marry him

Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne got engaged and the UFC power couple is looking forward to their future married life together.

As Browne is set to fight against Aleksei Oliynyk at UFC 213, which takes place next Saturday on July 8, “Hapa” spoke with the media about how much pressure he put on himself for perfection in asking the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey to marry him.

“It was funny man because I think leading up to it like I had it all planned in the back of my mind and honestly, I think leading up to it, I got a little snappy because I put so much pressure on myself about this kind of stuff,” said Browne. “I think she even kind of felt it, like, ‘What’s up with Trav? You know, we’re on vacation right now. He’s being a little aggressive, like being a little on edge a little bit.'”

Browne added that they got some photos before and after he proposed and it was funny because after looking at them, even he thought he looked different under all the pressure.

“It’s funny because we have a couple pictures of like before and right after and stuff and I like have the funniest look on my face,” said Browne. “I showed my buddy a picture and he was like, ‘Who’s that guy? Because that’s not your smile, that’s not your demeanor, that’s not you. That doesn’t even look like you.’ It didn’t even look like me and I remember thinking when I was looking at the pictures right away, I was like, ‘what the hell is wrong with me? Who is that guy? Why does he look so goofy?’ And then we see the pictures after and it’s like, back to me. You know it’s just that personal stress or pressure you put on yourself. I wanted everything to be perfect and yeah, that’s the least she deserves, is me being perfect.”
