While Stephen Thompson may be the welterweight #1 contender following his unanimous decision win over Rory MacDonald earlier this year, newly crowned welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is looking for a money fight with MMA veteran Nick Diaz.

Diaz, whose suspension recently ended, is on a 2-fight losing streak, with his most recent fight being a no-contest against Anderson Silva.

Thompson on the other hand is riding a 7-fight win streak dating back to 2013.
