Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort may be adding another accolade to his substantial resume. The 38-year-old former UFC light heavyweight champion and UFC heavyweight tournament champion has been a pioneer to the sport of mixed martial arts. With his first UFC fight taking place all the way back on Feb. 7, 1997, Belfort has been a very relevant fighter and remains so to this day. “The Phenom” surprised many with a recent announcement on his Facebook page that many die-hard fans may not have even known regarding his scholarly background. Befort proudly announced that he has been accepted into the very prestigious school, Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Although the scheduled fight between Vitor Belfort and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza is not until May, a recent photo certainly suggests that Belfort may need to get back to a more strict training and nutritional program.
