The World Series of Fighting 5 Results: Dave Branch Wrestles Danillo Villefort to One-Sided Win

The co-main event is the second semi-final middleweight tournament bout pitting two WSOF veterans against one another. Dave Branch will take on hard-nosed Danillo Villefort to see who will claim the final spot in the first ever middleweight title fight for the promotion.

The Preliminary bouts begin at 6 p.m. and the Main card begins at 9 p.m.

Dave Branch (12-3) vs. Danillo Villefort (13-4):

Dave Branch did one thing in this fight, imposed his will on a man who didn’t have the strength or wrestling pedigree to match him. Branch landed most takedowns and once they got to the mat, it was his fight to lose. Branch never lost advantageous positioning and never stopped moving long enough for the referee to warrant a stand up.

With this win, Branch moves to the finals of the World Series of Fighting middleweight tournament and will fight to become the first ever WSOF middleweight champion.

Result: Dave Branch defeats Danillo Villefort via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
