Yoel Romero will square off with Robert Whittaker for the promotions undisputed middleweight title in the main event of UFC 225 in Chicago on June 9.

While “The Soldier of God” is clearly focused on winning his rematch with “Bobby Knuckles”, the feared knockout artist is still holding out hope for an eventual grudge match with former division champion Michael Bisping.

FOX Sports caught up with Yoel Romero at last night’s UFC 223 event in Brooklyn and the former Olympic medalist made sure to pass on a message for “The Count”.

“Mike! You continue training. Please. Please continue training because I want to see you soon. I want to see you soon. You know… (motions to break something) I love you.”

Yoel Romero and Michael Bisping have a heated rivalry which dates back to November 2016’s UFC 205 event in New York.

Romero had called out then-champion Michael Bisping in his post-fight interview, this after Yoel scored a sensational knockout victory over former champion Chris Weidman.

Since that time, Michael Bisping has suffered back-to-back stoppage losses to Georges St-Pierre and most recently Kelvin Gastelum respectively.

As for Yoel Romero, the feared knockout artist was most recently seen in action at February’s UFC 221 event in Perth where he scored another brutal KO victory over former division champion Luke Rockhold.
