Carlos Condit on Title Rematch with Robbie Lawler: “Something I can get excited about”

How can one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC even think about hanging up the gloves after a title bout like Condit vs Lawler?

From a fighter perspective“Ruthless” Robbie Lawler wanted to finish the fight clean and fast and not go through another battle like he did against Rory MacDonald, however, the champ ran into a beast of a middleweight in Carlos “The Natural Born Killer” Condit.

The fight went the full five rounds and ended with what some analyst and fans feeling that Condit did enough to win.   Without question one of the most entertaining rounds that I’ve witnessed.

“I’ve been thinking about my future for a long time. Fighting is a tough sport where happy endings are few and far between, and I definitely want to leave the game before the game leaves me. Fighting is such a big part of who I am and the chance to get back in there with Robbie again is something I could get excited about. But if it’s time to explore a new path, then I’ll go into it with the same passion. It’s always been about the journey for me and I guess we’ll have to wait and see how things play out.”
