Coker: Koscheck/Daley II targeted for summer 2016

By Chris Taylor - October 26, 2015

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck (17-10 MMA) signed a contract with Bellator MMA this past June and is currently awaiting his first opponent from the promotion.

The former “Ultimate Fighter Season 1” star was initially slated to make his first Bellator appearance this December at Bellator 147, but instead is now being targeted for a January event.

Since signing with Bellator, many fans have voiced their desire to see a rematch between Koscheck and former UFC rival Paul Daley.

Bellator president Scott Coker is well aware that a second fight between Daley and Koscheck could be “big”, but told MMAJunkie that it won’t happen until summer of 2016:

“There’s no mistake: The big fight for Daley, in my mind, is him fighting Josh Koscheck,” he said. “Everyone wants to see that rematch. That’s one we’re going to try to put together in the summer of next year.”

Koscheck will be looking to snap a five-fight losing skid when he makes his Bellator debut this winter. Who would you like to see “Kos” face in his first Bellator fight? Sound off Penn Nation!
