Dana White: Partnership has been a ‘home run for Reebok’
The Reebok and UFC deal has been a good and a bad thing depending on who you ask. UFC President Dana White clamors that the deal struck between the two mega brands has been a “home run.”
“The backlash to Reebok was ridiculous but everybody thinks they know all about this sh*t and they have all the answers,” White explained to The Telegraph. “But let me tell you – this has been an absolute home run for Reebok. Home run for them.”
Notable figures that were not happy about their Reebok deals include former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub and popular cutman Jacob “Stitch” Duran. Both men were very vocal about their displeasure with their arrangement in place with Reebok and are no longer working with the UFC.
“This has just come out and Reebok and the UFC are just figuring this thing out,” White said. “There has been some bumps along the way, which is absolutely normal in a business like this which has never been done before, both on our side and on Reebok’s side,” White told The Telegraph. “But I will tell you this – it is very successful for Reebok.”
