Baroni – “Schilling is just a big mouth p*ssy, end of story!”

Mixed martial arts veteran Phil “NYBA” Baroni has been trying to line up a fight with Joe Schilling under the Bellator banner.

The former Strikeforce title challenger posted a photo on twitter of himself with Scott Coker at last weekend’s Bellator event, insinuating that a fight with “Stitch em up” was on the horizon.

However, just days after Phil’s post, Bellator officials announced that Schilling had been booked to fight promotional newcomer Hisaki Kato at Bellator 139 on June 26, not Baroni.

BJPENN.com’s Chris Taylor reached out to the “New York Bad Ass” to find out why the proposed bout didn’t come to fruition. Here is Baroni’s response:

“Scott Coker was down to make that fight man. I went to last weekend’s Bellator 137 event to talk to Scott (Coker) and he gave me cage side seats right behind him. I sat beside Mike Kogan, who is a buddy and just happens to be Schilling’s manager, he was cool and said ‘ok let’s do it, it’s a good fight.’ So you will have to ask gutless Joe what happened after that. His big f***ing mouth was writing checks his honkey ass couldn’t cash. Schilling is just a big mouth pussy. End of story!”
