Jacare vs. Belfort to headline May card in Brazil
The UFC announced Tuesday afternoon that Jacare Souza vs. Vitor Belfort would headline a May 14th card in Brazil.
The bout is a pivotal one for both fighters. Jacare is coming off a split decision loss to Yoel Romero at UFC 194 that saw Romero become the #1 contender at middleweight, however due to a failed drug test this bout between Jacare and Belfort will likely determine the #1 contender spot at middleweight.
Belfort is coming off a 1st round TKO loss to Chris Weidman, who could be getting an immediate rematch with Luke Rockhold in the time leading up to this Jacare vs. Belfort fight.
