UFC 194 Results: Max Holloway defeats Jeremy Stephens via decision

A featherweight bout between Max Holloway (15-3 MMA) and Jeremy Stephens (24-12 MMA) kicked off the pay-per-view portion of UFC 194 in Las Vegas.

Holloway got to work quickly landing some solid jabs on Stephens. Jeremy responds with some leg kicks. Max is switching his stance early and often. Good shots from Holloway, who seems to have found his range. Round one ends with both men engaged in the clinch position against the fence.

The Hawaiian is finding a home for his right hook to begin round two. Stephens is still attacking the legs with kicks. Jeremy is searching for takedown but Max defends well against the fence. Stephens is throwing bombs but Holloway is able to back away from the punches.

Max Holloway is able to land a takedown early on in round three. He ties up Stephens right hand and begins landing some serious left hands. Holloway takes the back of Stephens and begins looking for a rear-naked choke. Stephens battles hard and is able to escape the position and get back to his feet. Good left hook from Jeremy. Holloway responds with a leg kick and a jab. Stephens is swinging for the fences to end round three but cannot connect.
