Monday marked a historic day for MMA, as Donn Davis’ PFL and Scott Coker’s Bellator unified to become second-fiddle to the UFC. It also teased speculation about what could be next on the boxing side of things, specifically for former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. Donn Davis, who appeared on the latest edition of “The MMA Hour” with Ariel Helwani, said there is a possibility of Ngannou fighting Deontay Wilder, the former WBC heavyweight champion.

Jake Paul has released the poster and trailer for his boxing match against Nate Diaz. Monday marks exactly two months out from Paul vs. Diaz which goes down on DAZN pay-per-view from Dallas, Texas in a highly-anticipated bout. Paul has been vocal about him wanting to box Diaz and he now gets the chance and plans to KO the Stockton native and end any talk of Diaz going back to the UFC for his trilogy with Conor McGregor.

Hardy was facing Alexander Flores as part of the Dallas Enforcers Team Combat League match at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. In the 17th round – of 18 rounds – Hardy got dropped and when he got back up he had some success against Flores.
BJJ legend Leandro Lo shot & killed in Brazil

Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Leandro Lo has died. Lo was shot and killed following a scuffle at a concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In the police report, officer Henrique Otávio Oliveira Velozo was listed as a suspect.
Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu acknowledges mishandling of sexual assault cases

BJJ veteran Roberto Abreu, also known as “Cyborg”, has addressed his role in sexual assault allegations towards his Fight Sports organization. Back in March 2018, a 31-year-old instructor from Fight Sports was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl, as reported by New York Times. Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu was a coach and close friend of Marcel Goncalves, the man accused.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Gordon Ryan explained why he slapped grappling rival Andre Galvao following his recent submission win. Ryan was seen on video slapping Galvao on Friday following his submission factory over at the “Who’s Number One?” event. Ryan had defeated Roberto Jimenez earlier in the night, where he defeated Jimenez via submission (mounted armbar). Afterward, Ryan ran into Galvao backstage and slapped his rival in the face. Video of the event was captured and put on the internet and led to an even more heated rivalry between the BJJ stars.
