Undefeated welterweight Ben Askren received some practice, well sort of, from a fight fan prior to tonight’s UFC 239 fight with Jorge Masvidal. The former Bellator and ONE champion, Askren (19-0 MMA), was confronted by what appears to be a very intoxicated fight fan who had some choice words and interesting moves for ‘Funky’.

Israel Adesanya has offered a response to Jon Jones’ offer to help train with Robert Whittaker and he didn’t have many kind things to say. Adesanya is the interim UFC middleweight champion and he’ll collide with main champion Whittaker in a title unification bout. The UFC announced that the fight will take place at UFC 243 on Oct. 5. A location has not been announced. Adesanya and Whittaker appeared at the UFC summer press conference 2019 and “The Last Stylebender” said he wasn’t amused by “The Reaper” posting memes on social media.

Michael Bisping gives Thiago Santos a shot at beating Jon Jones, but he won’t bet the house on it. Tonight (July 6), Santos will challenge Jones for the UFC light heavyweight championship in the UFC 239 headliner. Jones is entering the second title defense of his current reign. Meanwhile, this will be “Marreta’s” first UFC title opportunity. He brings with him a four-fight winning streak, earning finishes in three of those bouts over Jan Blachowicz, Jimi Manuwa, and Eryk Anders.

Although MMA fans have long wanted to see a superfight between Georges St. Pierre and Khabib Nurmagomedov, it appears that UFC president Dana White isn’t a fan of the matchup. Speaking to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, White said that he isn’t interested in booking a potential matchup between GSP and Nurmagomedov anytime soon, even though he admits it’s a fight that both men want.
