“100% Dillashaw would be champion without me”
Former Team Alpha Male striking coach Duane Ludwig has been making headlines this month, mainly due to his well-publicized fall out with former employer Urijah Faber.
Ludwig recently talked with Sherdog where he stressed that he had nothing to do with the current UFC bantamweight champions decision to leave the Sacramento based gym.
“Ultimately he (Dillashaw) is the one who said yes or no. I actually was not involved in any of those negotiations. His deal was strictly his deal. I don’t have anything to do with that team. But they send guys to me and I send guys to them.”
When asked if Dillashaw would have obtained the same success without his tutelage, Ludwig quickly responded.
“100 percent, yes (he would have been champion). 100 percent. No one needs me. I think everyone who works with me does better with me than without me, but nobody needs me.”
