Mark Hunt Denied Access to Fly Into US Due to Visa Issues, Scheduled To Fight JDS In 2 Weeks

UFC Heavyweight Contender Mark Hunt has been on a recent tear in his last four appearances in the octagon. After winning three of the four with devastating punches, the Former K1 Grand Prix Champ is slated next to face Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos, in a bout that may determine the next number 1 heavyweight contender.

Unfortunately, for the ‘Super Samoan,’ with the good comes the bad. Hunt has recently gone out publicly on twitter to let followers know that preparations for his upcoming fight have been delayed.

” If it’s not one thing it’s another no one told me about a visa might miss my flight ooooopppps”  the next day he went on to tweet, “Well thanks to an idiot friend if mine I did get arrested.” and then this, “Well wed is the day I’m out got to wait for my old passport coming from aus damn to much build up just want to start acclimatizing.”

After a couple of days of waiting for his passport Hunt went on to tweet, “Denied again at airport I’m never helping anymore ****head mates.”

From Hunt’s twitter it looks as if his travels have been put on hold for some time, and he does not know when and if he will be cleared for his flight on time to prepare for his match with fellow heavyweight slugger Junior Dos Santos. The fight  is set to take place in just a little over two weeks, and with Mark Hunt’s chances of getting on a plane to the US looking gloomy, the UFC may be looking to find someone who can quickly replace the ‘Super Samoan’ if he in fact is on the ‘no fly’ list.

Surely UFC fans are hoping not to lose out on such an exciting heavyweight clash. If Hunt can make the flight, you best not miss the fight.

The fireworks are set to go off at UFC 160 ‘Velasquez vs Bigfoot 2’ on May 25th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
