Tate Defends Third Rousey Fight –– ‘No One Deserves It More’
Even with all the talk about Ronda Rousey vs. Cristiane Cyborg, it’s expected that Miesha Tate will be fighting for the bantamweight title next.
Tate’s already been named the number one contender and UFC president Dana White did say she would be fighting Rousey for the third time, but the bout has yet to be made official and Tate told FOX Sports that her management team hasn’t heard anything.
Even so, she believes she will be next, simply because there’s no one out there that that deserves it more.
“I’ve done what I’ve done. I’ve beat top-level girls at what they’re good at. I beat Sara McMann with wrestling and grappling and that’s her specialty. I beat Jessica Eye with striking primarily and I mostly beat her at her own game and that says something.
“I’m beating these girls at what they’re supposed to be good at and they’re all ranked in the top 10. I’m No. 1 and I don’t know who deserves it more.”
“I do believe that I’m next. I believe that I’ve earned it and I don’t believe there’s a female out there that deserves it more than I do.”
