ABC President Supports UFC Out-Of-Competition Testing Program
With the recent string of PED failures in MMA, most notably the UFC, the UFC plans to take further steps to attempt to eradicate PEDs, and PED users, from the sport of MMA.
At a special press conference to address the PED problem, the UFC revealed their plan to push for 2-5 year suspensions, and to vamp up the drug testing.
In a statement to MMAJunkie, Associating Of Boxing Commissions President Tim Lueckenhoff stated that he plans to support the UFC’s decision.
“I applaud the UFC for recognizing they need to step up and take action. Now, we as commissions need to figure out how we handle a fighter who is positive outside-of-competition.”
