The night prior to the fight it was announced that Frankie Edgar would be the next contender at featherweight, leading many to believe that McGregor would fight ‘The Answer’ next, however others wanted to see a McGregor vs. Aldo II fight.

To add to the speculation of who McGregor would face next, his coach John Kavanagh revealed that McGregor would remain featherweight champion, but would move up to lightweight to fight for the lightweight championship.

The UFC posted a poll on their website asking fans who they thought McGregor should fight next, and the results may surprise you.
