Aldo Hospitalized, Bout With Mendes Still On

Yesterday Jose Aldo was hospitalized temporarily with a kidney stone, something he has suffered from since he was just 16 years old according to Nova Uniao head coach Andre Pederneiras.

Pederneiras spoke with Globo about the champ’s hospitalization saying:

“Aldo has had renal calculi (Kidney Stones) since he was 16 years old. After his fight against Zombie, he expelled a stone. Last week it happened again. He started to get a little pain, he was hospitalized, he got saline solution and expelled the stone.”

The bout with Mendes is still on however, and Aldo is rumored to be back training already.
