Aldo: If you talk about skills, I feel I’m the best in the world
UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo recently sat down with Brazil’s AGFight, and said he is the best in the world.
“If you talk about skills, I feel that I’m the best in the world. But it doesn’t mean that I think that I’m invincible and I’m still working to keep being a champion,” said Aldo as transcribed by Fernando Arbex for BloodyElbow. “If I’m the number one or I’m not, this is up to the fans and the media, though I have my opinion. The important thing is that I’m still evolving as a fighter and I have a lot to improve.”
Jose Aldo is set to rematch Chad “Money” Mendes in the main event of UFC 179, which goes down October 25 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The pair first met at UFC 142 in 2012, with Aldo winning by first-round knockout due to a nasty knee.
The current UFC P4P rankings have Aldo sitting at #2, behind light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Do you feel Aldo deserves top spot on the sports pound-for-pound list? Sound off Penn Nation!
