Aldo Interested In Superfight Against Bellator Champion, Patricio Freire
Recently, Bellator MMA featherweight champion Patricio Freire said that media outlets need to stop undervaluing Bellator fighters, and that with a win over Daniel Straus at Bellator 132 on January 16th he will be ranked as the greatest featherweight in the world (See that HERE).
Now, UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo responded to Freire’s comments, saying that he would be game for a fight against the Bellator champ.
“It would be a great fight. We’re both aggressive fighters, we’re the best featherweights in the world. The champions, the titleholders. It would be a great fight, no doubt about it.”
“I see (the featherweights at Bellator) at the same level today. Bellator is the second-biggest promotion in the world today. Here in the UFC, we have more names because (the promotion) is older than Bellator. (Bellator) is growing now, but already has tough fighters too. Bellator is not far behind. The different is that the UFC is on the road for a long time.”
What do you think PENNation? Do you want to see a cross-promotion bout between Jose Aldo and Patricio Freire.
