‘Aldo’s Strength is Too Much for McGregor to Handle’
Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar is gearing up to headline this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 66 event in Pasay, Philippines, where he will take on former WEC champion Urijah Faber.
“The Answer” recently did an interview with the Daily Star, where he gave his take on July’s UFC 189 headlining title fight between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor. Here is what Edgar had to say about the highly anticipated featherweight title fight:
“Conor has never met anyone as strong as Aldo. I’m going to go with the champ in this one. But good luck to McGregor. He got the fight. He’s beaten people in devastating fashion and he’s got this fight and that’s all that matters. Whether he deserves it or not, that’s in the past. He has it on July 11. It’s what he does with it that counts. I want the belt. Aldo has beaten me before and I’d like to be the one to take the belt from him.”
Frankie Edgar will be looking to earn his fourth-straight victory when he squares off with the “California Kid” this weekend in the Philippines.
If “The Answer” can put on another impressive performance, he will likely earn another crack at the UFC featherweight title.
