Anderson Silva Gets Medical Clearance To Return To Sparring
After publicly breaking his leg in the UFC 168 main event last year, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been spending the bulk of the last six-months in rehab.
And while there are likely several hurdles left yet to go through, Silva’s medical team in Brazil has just cleared him to begin sparring again.
Silva himself took to twitter with the news:
Aí galera uma notícia boa, hoje e meu primeiro Sparring de MMA depois da fratura na perna Dr márcio Tanuri liberou. pic.twitter.com/PnjKse7LZ8
— Anderson Silva (@SpiderAnderson) June 20, 2014
Translated:“Good news today, guys. Dr. Marcio Tannure released me for my first sparring after my leg fracture.”
