Anderson Silva gives Ronda Rousey words of encouragement after rough loss

By BJPENN.COM News - November 16, 2015

Ronda Rousey was riding a wave of momentum very few fighters ever get the opportunity to when walking into a championship fight at “UFC 193”. She had torn through every single opponent UFC President Dana White and matchmaker Joe Silva put in front of her and she crossed over into main-stream superstardom because of it. She had every reason to believe that she was going to blast through Holly Holm this past Saturday, but her path to immortality was cut off when she was knocked out in the second round.

It was one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport and a champion who was viewed as unbeatable laid staring at the ceiling after getting knocked out. Sound familiar?

Anderson Silva went through the same misfortune that Ronda Rousey did at “UFC 193” when he was knocked out by underdog Chris Weidman at UFC 162. Silva has had time to mull over the loss and has grown as a person because of it. Rousey is going to have a tough time dealing with something she is no unfamiliar with, but Silva threw over some words of encouragement on Instagram that will hopefully comfort her:

“Our biggest glory doesnt lives in the fact of never fall down, But In the fact of we always stand up after each fall. With determination, You will over come this bad time. I know very well how It is. You are a great athlet and transcend the MMA world. My kids love You. So, dont forget: To fall Makes us strongerTo stand up. You deserve the best of this world. Nobody is forever. All of us lost And To lose make us stronger. So, I wish You peace And lots of patience. Hold this experience with inteligence And dont blame yourself. You had a big lesson Of this Sport. With class You will transform this hapeness In something better To your Personal And professional life, because the world was made for people like You, a winner. Stand up your head, girl. You are a great champion of life And a inpiration for all world. Dont forget, we Love You!”
