Barboza calls for top-5 opponent: “I’m ready for this”
On the heels of his impressive win over Bobby Green in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night Austin, Edson Barboza called for a top-5, or even top-3 opponent for his next fight.
He spoke at the post-fight press conference.
“I’m feeling really good, but believe me, you guys haven’t seen the best Edson Barboza yet. I work hard, and I think the new Edson Barboza is born right now. I feel very comfortable on the ground, in wrestling, and I think my striking is going to be looking better in every fight.
“I’m feeling confident in all areas of the fight. I’m ready for all the guys in this division. It doesn’t matter if the UFC gives me top 5, top 3. I’m ready for this.”
