Bisping Undergoes Eye Surgery For Detached Retina
Ironically in his last fight against Alan Belcher, Michael Bisping damaged his eye and tore his retina in an injury that required surgery to repair.
“The Count” landed a nasty eye-poke to Belcher in the final frame of action in their bout, but somewhere throughout the course of the three-rounds is the one with severe eye damage.
UFC Tonight on FUEL TV has the scoop:
“After the fight against Alan Belcher, Michael Bisping completely lost all peripheral vision in his right eye. He went to see an eye on doctor on Tuesday and he found out that he had a detached retina. On Thursday, he had surgery to fix the detached retina. He’s hoping to return to the UFC in October.”
