Champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk Isn’t Concerned With Jessica Penne: ‘She’s Not A Good Wrestler’
UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk is preparing for her first title defense against Jessica Penne on June 20.
Going into her fight with Carla Esparza, many assumed Jedrzejczyk would be taken down and her striking skills would be neutralized. That certainly was not the case.
So how does Jedrzejczyk feel about her chances of staying on her feet against Penne? Well here’s what she had to say when talking to MMAFighting.
“She’s not a good wrestler, but when she’s on the ground she’s doing well. Anything can happen. It’s a fight. I will try to not make a mistake and stay off the ground and keep on striking.”
