Claudia Gadelha Still Injured, Hopeful For February Return
Claudia Gadelha is the UFC’s No. 1 ranked UFC strawweight contender and was expected to face off with the champ, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, but ultimately the shot went to Valerie Letourneau instead. Fans were a little confused at the announcement, since the week leading up the news, Gadelha said that she’s not hurt and will be ready to fight.
Turns out that really wasn’t the case. According to UFC Tonight, Claudia is still healing up from an injured finger and won’t be able to step back into the octagon for another five months.
Joanna ‘Champion’ and Gadelha have faced off before and the Brazilian lost a close decision. She was hoping to get another crack at her, but she’ll have to wait and see how the UFC 193 co-main event pays out.
When she is healthy, do you thin she should fight the winner of Joanna vs. Letourneau, or fight someone else first?
