Going into UFC 45 on November 21st 2003, Matt Hughes had defended his UFC welterweight championship four times, and was looking to make it five.
In the very first round, Hughes was able to secure a standing rear naked choke, submitting Trigg and defending his UFC welterweight championship for a fifth time.
