Cruz responds to potential Mighty Mouse superfight

By bjpenndotcom - January 19, 2016

Following his ‘UFC Fight Night: Boston’ win over TJ Dillashaw, a lot of doors opened for newly crowned bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz.

Cruz could have a rematch with former champion TJ Dillashaw, accept Urijah Faber’s callout, or even accept a superfight with flyweight kingpin Demetrious Johnson, whose coach called Cruz out on Facebook.

Cruz responded to the callout from Johnson’s coach on Fox Sports 1, which was transcribed by MMAFighting:

“D.J. is a beast. I think D.J. would run circles around T.J. and Urijah. But I think that I could put it on D.J., too, again. Just like I did last time.”

“I shut D.J. out last time. I made his face look like he had a pile of cheese in the cheek. I gave him a good knee to the face that rocked him. I beat him striking because of the knee and I was able to outwrestle him.”

How do you see a rematch between Cruz and Johnson playing out? Sound off below.
