Dana White criticizes “dirty, horrible” people trash talking Rousey

By now you’ve probably seen your social media feed filled with memes and videos mocking former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and praising Holly Holm.

While fighters such as Carlos Condit, Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson, and several others have sent supportive messages to Rousey following the devastating loss, many fans have taken the opportunity to bash Rousey.

The doesn’t sit well with UFC President Dana White.

He spoke to TMZ Live to shed some light on why he believes fans are criticizing the former champ:

“First of all, she didn’t touch gloves with Holly on Saturday, which I’m sure is a big part of it. But the stuff on social media and the things I’ve seen, there’s just dirty, horrible people that just love to come out and be nasty and be negative and with social media, even idiots can have opinions. Ronda trained hard for this fight. Ronda went to Melbourne two weeks ahead of time to acclimate over there. Ronda had a bad night, she lost. She needs to come back, get in the gym, overcome this thing and fight Holly again.”

Rousey stated prior to the fight that she will take some time off, and has stated following the knockout that she will indeed be back.
