Daniel Cormier has high praise for Jon Jones and wants to be his welcome back fight

By Russell Ess - October 29, 2015

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has just one loss in his professional MMA career, coming from the hands of former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

In April, Jones was suspended from the UFC with legal battles involving a hit-and-run accident in New Mexico. Jones was sentenced to probation in September, and is now looking to get back to the Octagon since being reinstated by the UFC.

Cormier spoke with Fox Sports on his thoughts on welcoming back the former champion.

“The thing is, I’m the champion now and I want to fight him. I am willing to give him a title shot immediately back into the UFC. It’s great for the fans, great for the organization because he is pound for pound the best fighter in the world.”

Is Jon Jones still the pound for pound the best fighter in the world and able to get back the title from the new king of the UFC light heavyweight division? Let us know who you see winning the rematch in the comment section below!
