Demian Maia and Neil Magny Set to Fight at UFC 190
UFC 190 is looking stacked with the addition of a new welterweight matchup! Veteran Demian Maia will be stepping into the octagon for the twenty-first time as he squares off with up-and-comer Neil Magny, Tatame reports.
Althrough Magny (8-2 UFC) is far from a newcomer in the octagon, he has just started to make a name for himself and could propel himself into the top ten with a win over Maia at UFC 190. Magny is currently riding a seven fight win streak, the most recent of which came at the expense of Hyun Gyu Lim in May.
After falling victim to losses against Jake Shields and Rory MacDonald, Demian Maia started to regain the momentum he once had with two consecutive wins. Maia’s last outing in the octagon, albeit uneventful, was extremely one sided as he smothered Ryan LaFlare for a unanimous decision victory.
UFC 190 is set to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the HSBC Arena. Ronda Rousey headlines the card alongside Bethe Correia and the two bantamweights will battle for the division’s championship.
