Donald Cerrone vs. Evan Dunham added to UFC 167 in Las Vegas
UFC officials announced today that a lightweight bout between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (20-6 MMA, 7-3 UFC) and Evan Dunham (14-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) has been added to November’s UFC 167 event in Las Vegas.
Cerrone is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Rafael dos Anjos at last month’s UFC Fight Night 27 event in Indianapolis. Prior to that bout, “Cowboy” defeated K.J. Noons at May’s UFC 160 event in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Evan Dunham has dealt with some nconsistency as of late, after starting his UFC career with four straight wins, Dunham has since gone 3-4 inside the octagon. Evan’s most recent effort came at the UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Rockhold event in Brazil, where he, like Cerrone, suffered a unanimous decision loss to Rafaeel dos Anjos. Prior to his fight with dos Anjos, Dunham scored a split decision win over Gleison Tibau at UFC 156 in February.
UFC 167 takes place November 16 live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card airs on pay-per-view, following the prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook. UFC 167 is headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Georges St. Pierre and #1 contender Johny Hendricks.
