Enter The Octagon: Rogan Breaks it Down
By Joe “JD” David
“I want to prove to me, I want to to prove to the world, I want to prove to the UFC that I belong on the top.” Kelvin Gastelum said.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan breaks down and previews the main event for Fight Night Monterrey Headliner: Magny vs Gastelum.
“Kelvin is coming off of an amazing knockout victory over former Strikeforce champion Nate Marquart, one of the best performances of his career. In that fight we got to see Kelvin Gastelums skills, his foot work is spectacular, his boxing technique is sharp and his grappling has been excellent inside the octagon, he’s one of the most exciting prospects in the division.” Rogan said.
“Neil Magny is a very disciplined guy, Neil Magny is always in shape and one of the good things about that is he’s able to take short notice fights. This is his second tough short notice fight in a row. He stepped in short notice between Erik Silva and now he’s stepping in again on short notice with Gastelum.” Rogan said.
“Neil Magny pushes a ridiculous pace the as from the moment the fight starts to the very last second of the the last round. Kelvin Gastelum is going to have to improve in this fight, Neil Magny is gonna test it.” Rogan Said
Both fighters’ sights are set for the top of the welterweight division. With that said, a “W” alone may not be enough to make a strong statement for Dana White to put the winner in a headline event, so the pressure is on. With Tyrone Woodley waiting it out and Rory McDonald already having his crack at the champ “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler.
Who do you think has what it takes to showcase their highest level skill set and dominate?
