Erick Silva First In UFC To Have 3 Opponents Never Hit Him

A fighter’s ability to hit and not get hit, especially in the UFC, is a measure of success and sign of greatness.

Last weekend at UFC Fight Night 36, top Brazilian prospect Erick Silva, etched his way into the record books in his fight against Takenori Sato.

As part of the main card, the two welterweights took to the center of the Octagon for just a brief moment in time, as it took Silva just 52 seconds to put Sato on the mat unconscious from strikes.

More surprising than the fight’s quick and sudden outcome is the fact that Erick Silva didn’t even get touched in the bout. According to FightMetric Silva landed 21 total strikes, while his opponent landed zero.

For Silva this is his third opponent who failed to touch him and with that, he sets a new UFC  record. Additionally, Silva notched himself as the fighter with the shortest active fight time inside the UFC with just 4:35 spent on average per-fight.
