Former WSOF Champion Wants Title Shot on UFC Debut

Jessica Aguilar is one of the hottest free agents in the world of mixed martial arts, but she is hoping that will change soon enough with a phone call from the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Aguilar is one of the most dominant women outside of the octagon and she has destroyed whichever opponents World Series of Fighting brass has put in front of her. She is currently riding a ten fight win streak in promotions spanning rom Bellator and WSOF. Now, she has her eyes set on the biggest prize of them all: UFC Strawweight Championship gold.

“I feel I deserve the title shot,” she told B/R. “At the end of the day, as long as I get a fair deal, I’ll do whatever the UFC wants. But I feel I deserve the title shot. That’s the fight I want. I want to be the UFC champion. But again, I’m a team player. If we get a good deal and they want something different, so be it. But my priority is going for the title.”
