Frankie Edgar accepts Max Holloway’s challenge, wants to fight in December
New Jersey’s Frankie Edgar sits atop the featherweight division as the only man under champions Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor. Often overlooked by officials, Edgar sure isn’t forgotten when it comes to fighters looking to take a step up in competition.
Fifth-ranked featherweight Max Holloway called out “The Answer” to a potential bout in Hawaii. Holloway looked impressive against Charles Oliveira in a performance that was cut short when the Brazilian suffered an injury. With his quick with at “UFC Fight Night 74” on Sunday, Holloway extended his win-streak to seven in a row.
Jeremy Stephens also threw his name in the mix as a potential contender for Frankie Edgar as well when he took to social media to challenge the former UFC Lightweight Champion.
Edgar seems to be ready and willing to take all challengers as he accepted a fight with either Holloway or Stephens, granted it’s on the “The Ultimate Fighter: Team McGregor vs. Team Faber Finale” in December!
