Gay Male In The UFC? Benavidez Says ‘Cool’, Jones Unsure

There are currently gay fighters within the UFC’s ranks. The only open ones however, happen to be female.

In a recent polling by FOX Sports, a few notable UFC fighters were asked about the subject and the responses may surprise you.

Joseph Benavidez
“Why not? It would be cool to see a gay guy just beat the shit out of somebody. I think that would be that much cooler. Busting a stereotype.”

Jon Jones
“I don’t really know what I think about homosexuality and MMA. I’ve never really put much thought into it. It’s a very sensitive topic. I’d rather not even comment on it.”

Chuck Liddell
“If he’s tough, who cares? If he’s a fighter, he’s a fighter. As long as he wins fights, it doesn’t matter.”
