GLORY Strips Their Light Heavyweight Champion
GLORY has decided to officially strip their light heavyweight champion of his title.
Gokhan Saki won the title when he beat Tyrone Spong at Glory 15 in April of 2014. Since then he has not defended it even once. Saki has been out because of a dispute over money with GLORY. He believed he should be getting paid more and the two went back and forth.
According to LiverKick.com, GLORY made the decision to strip him when he refused to fight at the upcoming Bellator/GLORY ‘Dynamite’ event. No word on if they will be putting the title on the line during the event, but we’ll keep you posted.
