Glover Would Be ‘Shocked’ If Jones Dominates Him
“In my fights and in my training people already know that this is very hard to happen. I have fought with “Rampage” Jackson and I took him down easily. Honestly, I scored six takedowns effortlessly. I have fought Ryan Bader and I took him down too. None of them did this to me. I train with top guys like Chuck Liddell and Lyoto Machida, I have trained with Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez, and nobody have ever dominated me. If what he’s saying happens, I will be shocked.
I don’t believe that I will dominate him but I think that my hand will hit him and I will knock him out. It’s going to be a tough fight because he’s a tough guy. I don’t see this going to the fifth round because I think I will close the distance to take him down or score the knockout. The fight should end in the third or fourth round.”
In a recent interview with The Brazilian Press, this weekend’s UFC 172 headliner, Glover Teixeira discussed his upcoming title fight against Jon Jones.
