Henry Cejudo Talks Potential Fight With ‘Mighty Mouse’ –– ‘It’s Just A Matter Of Time’
UFC flyweight and Olympic gold medal wrestler Henry Cejudo is scheduled to fight Jussier Formiga, but when asked by the media recently, at UFC 191, he began talking about potential match ups with all kinds of fighters.
It was expected that he would fight Joseph Benavidez, a fight he asked for, but then they both got booked for different opponents. Cejudo says it was scheduling issues, and he wanted an extra month, that’s why the fight didn’t happen.
He also mentioned that he was actually talked to about a title fight a while ago, but he said he wanted a few more fights before that. Now he mentioned that after his next fight he would be open to stepping in there against the champ.
When asked if he would prefer to fight DJ over Dodson, he said it didn’t matter, because they would all get their shot eventually.
“It’s just a matter of time, I feel like I have more power than both of these guys.”
The guy certainly doesn’t lack confidence.
