Holm gets stamp of approval from MMA legend

Holly Holm’s impressive win over Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 earned her the respect and admiration of fans as well as her fellow fighters.

Now, the win has even earned Holm the respect from MMA legend and famed striker Mirko Cro Cop.

He spoke on The MMA Hour:

“It was a great performance. To be honest, I had never seen Holly Holm fight before. I heard before the fight she used to be a professional boxer. I honestly thought it would be another easy fight for Ronda, because I hadn’t seen the girl (Holly) fight. It turned out to be a disaster for Ronda. Holly Holm did really good, she dominated. If it happened after one minute, two minutes in the fight, people would say she was lucky. But, she had complete domination, especially in the first round. They went to the ground and she survived, so my congratulations to Holly Holm. It was really something special, especially that high kick, she caught her very good and she knocked Ronda out. That’s the name of the business. That’s how it works in our business. Your not concentrated 100 percent, you make one mistake and you pay by sleeping on the ground. Sad, but true.”

Since the win Holm has done a slew of guest appearances on various shows, and has made clear that if Rousey wants an immediate rematch, she will get one.
