Holm isn’t losing any sleep over Rousey not congratulating her
It’s been over a month Holly Holm defeated Ronda Rousey back at UFC 193 in Melbourne Australia to claim the UFC women’s bantamweight championship.
Since then the two female UFC stars have had vastly different lives. Holm went on a massive media tour, while Rousey sought shelter in privacy for several weeks with her boyfriend, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne.
While Holm has defended Rousey publicly since her win, Rousey has yet to congratulate Holm on the victory, which has many talking.
Holm spoke to Fox Sports to discuss whether or not that bothers her:
“No, because I think if somebody doesn’t want to say it or it’s obviously affected her in a different way. She hasn’t really reacted this way to a fight before and so I know it’s just a lot of emotion. It’s really nothing on me. I don’t want to lose any sleep over it, lose any energy over it.”
While the UFC wants to see a rematch between the two at UFC 200, it’s unclear whether or not Rousey will be medically cleared to fight at the event.
