Jake Shields Calling For Rematch With GSP Following Victory Over Maia

“I think [the Maia win] puts me really high back up. Demian Maia was ranked number four in the world (and was on) a four-fight win streak. I already have wins over Carlos Condit, Robbie Lawler, top contenders. So I want another shot at GSP. Whether I have to fight Rory MacDonald, Carlos Condit, any of the top contenders, I just want to fight people at the top right now.”

Make no mistake about it, despite the complaints coming from Maia, Jake Shields won a very strategic fight last night in Brazil.

Now, the former title challenger, wants his second shot at GSP for the UFC’s welterweight title.

He has only lost two-fights in the last 8 years, putting him at 18-2 within that same time-frame and one of those losses came at the hands of GSP, but is he ready for another shot?
