Jeremy Stephens Set For UFC Return Opposite Rony Jason At UFC Fight Night 29

A featherweight bout between Jeremy Stephens and Rony Jason is set for the UFC’s yet to be announced October 9 event in Brazil.

Jeremy Stephens confirmed the matchup through his Facebook.com page.

While yet to be made official, UFC Fight Night 29 is expected to do down on October 9 in Brazil. However the city and venue have yet to be named. The evenings main card is a likely candidate for a Fox Sports 1 airing.

Stephens recently made the drop to featherweight after receiving mixed results in the UFC’s lightweight division. He was successful in his debut at 145 when he faced off with Estevan Payan at UFC 160.

Jason is the first winner of TUF Brazil. The standout featherweight has won his last three fights inside the Octagon with victories over Mike Wilkinson, Sam Sicilia and Gedofredo Pepey at UFC 147 to win the TUF tournament.

According to Stephens this fight will sit on the evenings main card.
